Our Kippot

We use the best materials we can find to create our kippot.  Currently, all of the kippot are made of silver-coated or colored copper wire.  We use Swarovski crystals, Czech crystals, Japanese glass beads, Czech glass beads, and Freshwater Pearls:

Swarovski Crystals: These beads are prized and appreciated for their clarity and unsurpassable light reflection and refraction.  What makes a Swarovski unlike the rest is the absolute precision with which they are cut - each facet is perfectly seamed with adjoining facets - the results speak for themselves.

Czech Beads: We love the fire-polished Czech beads!  The multi-faceted beads reflect/refract light beautifully, and the fire-polishing gives a finish that adds extra dimension and variety to the bead.   These beads are shown to advantage in the Night Lights Kippah and the Flower Kippah.

The Czech seed beads are wonderful for a textured effect - the beads are all unique - in the same size, no two are identical.  Consequently, when strung together, they give a really textured effect - unlike the Japanese beads...

Japanese Glass Beads: We love all of the Miyuke beads from Japan.  Like the Swarovskis, these have brilliant clarity and uniformity, and therefore, great light relection for a really bright effect.  All of the newest kippot have at least a few Japanese beads on them.
